Bio:  Ken McCarty is the "Assistant to the Dean for Development" in Religious Education. After a serving a mission for the Church in New Zealand, Ken graduated from Brigham Young University in Business Administration in 1974. He has been an employee of the Presiding Bishop's Office, assigned to the LDS Foundation for the past 29 years. For the first fifteen years, he worked as a Regional Director and then as an Area Director for the LDS Foundation covering Oregon, Washington and Northern California. In 1988 he was asked to be the "National Director of Field Operations" for the LDS Foundation. Then, in 1994 Ken was appointed as the "Director of the Leadership Gifts Team" for the "Lighting the Way Capital Campaign" at Brigham Young University. In 1999 Ken was assigned as the "Project Leader" for the $50 Million Capital Campaign to build the new Athletic Complex at BYU. He began his current assignment in Religious Education in 2002. He and his wife Debbie have three children and three grandchildren.
