Bio: I came to BYU as a nonmember and was converted after first trying to prove that the Church wasn't true. My wife and I graduated from BYU in 1960. I graduated with honors from George Washington University Law School in 1964. For the next 20 years, I practiced law in California as a partner in a major law firm. I returned to BYU in 1984 as one of the vice presidents. I began teaching religion classes in 1985 and moved over to full time teaching in 1999. I have served as a Bishop, Stake President (twice) and as Mission President of the Australia Melbourne Mission (1991-1994). My wife and I are the parents of nine children. All nine of my children have been educated at BYU and five of those children have earned advanced degrees.
Courses Taught: Book of Mormon, Sharing the Gospel
Areas of Expertise: I have a particular interest in missionary work and the gospel doctrines associated with that work. I love the Book of Mormon and all that teaches us about Jesus Christ and his Church.
