Bio: Born in Salt Lake City and raised there and in Chicago. Received B.S. degree in Fuels Engineering from the University of Utah, a M.Ed. degree in Education Administration, and a Ph.D. in Family Studies from Brigham Young University. Married Vicki Johnson and have seven children. Taught in the Church Education System and has been at BYU for twelve years.
Courses Taught: LDS Marriage and Family, Doctrine and Covenants
Areas of Expertise: Doctrines of the restoration including marriage, the Doctrine and Covenants, and Kirtland Church History and Geography
Areas of Research: LDS marriage and family; Kirtland history; priesthood restoration
