I was born and raised in Providence, Utah (near Logan). After serving a mission in Brazil Curitiba, I returned home and completed my Bachelors degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering. I married an Angel named Kiplin Crook and began teaching seminary in Brigham City, Utah. After six years in that assignment I moved to the Institute adjacent to Utah State University. One of my assignments there was working in the Seminary Preservice program (teaching and training people who wanted to become seminary teachers) for four years. I also enjoyed a two-year opportunity to develop an online home study seminary program. My masters and doctorate degrees are both in Instructional Technology. Kiplin and I have 7 children (3 boys and 4 girls) ranging in age from 12 to 1. We are excited to be here and look forward to many wonderful experiences at BYU.
