Garrett McGuire

Garrett McGuire was raised in Provo, Utah. He and his wife, Emily, are the parents of five children. Garrett spent 17 years working in Seminaries and Institutes of Religion, including seven years in South Carolina where he was the Institute Director and Coordinator for the Columbia, South Carolina area.
Garrett earned his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. His dissertation focused on the effects of leadership styles on faculty unity, with particular emphasis on seminary faculties along the Wasatch Front. His article Commonalities in the Savior's Postmortal Visits to the Spirit World, the Holy Land, and the New World was published in the Religious Educator in 2023. Garrett has a deep love for teaching, especially working with young adults, and enjoys helping others grow through learning and leadership.
Garrett served a mission in Nicaragua and now loves a warm plate of rice and beans. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, following sports, taking road trips, and occasionally browsing Facebook Marketplace for cheap motorcycles he knows he doesn’t need.
