Biography

Travis Searle is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Church History and Doctrine. He earned his doctoral degree in leadership studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has a master's degree in curriculum and instruction. He is deeply passionate about nurturing student development and helping them realize their potential. He joined the BYU faculty after working for Seminaries and Institutes. He is married to Lori Allred, and they are the parents of four children.

Course taught at BYU: Foundations of the Restoration (Rel C 225), The Eternal Family (Rel C 200), The Living Prophets (Rel C 333), and Doctrine and Covenants (Rel C 325).

Research Interests

Teaching and Learning, Course Design and Assessment, Servant Leadership, Leadership Development, Positive Behavior, Adolescence and Emerging Adulthood, and Living Apostles.

Teaching Interests

I currently teach Foundations of the Restoration (Rel C 255), The Eternal Family (Rel C 200, and The Living Prophets (Rel C 333).
